We have done it again. This year's AGM was dealt with in a time of 20 minutes (!) flat. The books look fine (no new bike for Malcolm then ;-) ) And there were some questions as to the process of selecting the charities we support and whether we should have another go at handing out Promo cards to Triumph bikes parked in the City. Big Charlie (Dr. Doolittle) took away the Rider of the Year trophy and Andy K. was awarded Clubman of the Year. Well done guys.

 

I understand a pretty large MSL contingency (20 odd bikes) went to the Pub with No Name last Sunday to meet the other Clubs.

 

Some of you may have noticed that the Website has recently been up-dated, e.g. Club Regalia is now displayed and the photo section has grown significantly. However, Bill can only keep the site interesting and up to date if members supply him with information, articles, photos etc. (preferably in electronic format). Although I understand plenty of suggestions were made there has been very little actual input, which makes it a little bit difficult for Bill… I understand Robin is writing a piece as to how the "Mighty" became part of our name, which is a really good idea as many people –including me- probably wonder how this happened. Bill is planning a website puzzle "Match the Bike to the Rider" and once the evenings are a little brighter we will take pictures of members and their Triumphs (separately) for this. Please provide plenty more input in future.

 

And for those of you who are interested… I have eventually managed to get a VOSA appointment, Monday 2nd April 2007 at 9.55 am in Chelmsford. A very early start for me then. (Mog, in view of this I would understand if you decided not to come along.)

 

Finally, the events-list is getting a little longer, too. It must be spring.

Bob will be hosting a Quiz Night on Tuesday, 3rd April 2007 at the Princess of Wales.

 

There will be 10 questions from several areas of interest (not just motorcycles).

 

Entry is £1 per person, winning team takes the pot.

Next time you go to the London Motorcycle Museum have a look at their aircon equipment, which was provided by one of our members – Paul Skeet. Bill Cosby –the founder of the museum- mentioned to Paul that they are always looking for volunteers to help with the various tasks at the museum. So if anybody has some time to spare, just get in touch with the guys.

We are the founder branch of the TOMCC, founded in 1949 by a group of Triumph motorcycle enthusiasts in the South London area. To this day we hold regular meets and organise and participate in a wide range of activities such as runs (local, national and international) and country shows. And most importantly we enjoy our bikes in the company of like-minded people.
